Saturdays are demon spawn (but not the sexy SPN kind)

A Scanner Darkly was boring. It ended right when I was about to give up. The "innovation" (air quotes because Waking Life did it first, and yes I realize that was also Linklater) of the drawing-on-film only takes you so far. Some scenes were so realistically colored it took me out of the movie. It didn't add surrealism to anything. Although the art did help to boost Keanu Reeves' acting. I've never heard of Rory Cotrane before but he was the best actor in it. I loved Freaks. And there was an Impala. But it broke down and was tres lame. It looked like an 88 model? I'm not sure.

I couldn't function correctly while doing last night's American Culture homework. They kept mentioning Texas and Kansas and the last paragraph started-- I kid you not-- with, "I know, you know that a revolution has begun." Cross-fandoms in one sentence, even before TV was invented. \o/ Perhaps he was psychic. It was by Seward, look it up. I found an online version. And yes, I had to read five articles of that length for today's class.

And with that, we delve into my weekend shows.

Scrubs: Scrubs, WTF? I wanted to like Kim. I mean, she's not Bill Pardy but it's LIZZY. Why do they make all of JD's girlfriends into crap? Even Mandy was pure annoying and Zach was fracking DATING her at the time.

It's making JD seem unattractive by comparison. Because I'm starting to wonder why he's attracting all these bad girls. Is he that messed up? I feel bad!

Psych: I love Shawn. Red polos in a courtroom. YAY. Did he say "Don't mess with Texas?" *dies*

MICHAEL WESTON YET AGAIN. THIS MAN WINS SO MUCH. I LOVE YOU MICHAEL. I pretty much exploded. Scrubs, The Last Kiss, Garden State, Psych.... I can not talk....

...except that the casting people on Psych I love you. I was waiting for a James/Lake reunion, but I'll settle for Michael Weston and vaguely familiar newscaster girl. Seriously, I know I've seen her in something before!

Wardrobe people, you get a tap on the wrists. Shawn? In pink? *pretends to never have seen this shirt*

I loved Shawn's handwriting. I always wonder if the actor actually writes these things. I wonder if there are professional writers that are hired because the stars have sloppy handwriting.

"I am on your side. Technically I'm not because of the size of this table. Imagine a round table. I would be somewhere in the middle." ROFL. Oh, Shawn.

And brunettes who are murderers! Shocker.

And duddeee, next week is tennis!?!? *flails* There's tennis courts at my school, man. I won't be able to walk by there anymore without laughing!

And am I correct in assuming that "PHI deKAPA THET'D" was renamed "From the Earth to the Starbucks"? Because I was waiting for that episode, but Richard Kind is listed in that episode... unless Hugo comes back?

Monk: Monk was pretty fun. I see everyone is flailing over shirtless Disher, and honestly I don't blame you. My mind is just still wrapped around Shawn in Psych (I missed Monk last night due to HW so I caught the repeat today). It was Disher-centric and had Carlos! Or whatever his name is.... Ricardo... Spanishlastname from Desperate Housewives. I love him. I should pay attention to his real name one day. *opens IMDB*

Monk thinking he was high! XD And there were fireflies! (Although apparently they don't exist west of the Rockies?) Seriously, what was Jimmy whatever thinking of burning all that weed? I felt like that popped out of GTA: SA. Speaking of, I wish you could replay certain missions without having to do the game again. Because all of those missions for The Truth were awesome.

And today was pretty much venting matter, but I'll spare you all because I vented to my dad. More reasons to love him, I guess. Not that you should have strong feelings for my dad but, whatever. But I will say that my Saturday commute is going to be the death of me.

Ever been in one of those moods where you just want to karaoke? I say karaoke because I don't think I can sing very well. But I want to just belt out a song right now. I need out. OUT. Maybe tomorrow I can finally buy those tickets for Dutchman so I can see Dulé as not!Gus and secretly hope that one of his celebrity friends is in the audience that same night. Although not SMG. Still not a fan of hers. It won't happen ever, either.

And the Honey Brothers are playing tonight in Brooklyn! :-O I wanted to go so badly, but Brooklyn now until whenever? By myself? No thanks. I'll see y'all in Manhattan one day, which is only an hour away compared to two.

Sorry you missed Monk for homework, but it's good that it repeats a few times so you don't really miss it. Poor Monk. It was really funny though.

I hate when guys wear pink. Before it was "Ew, pink, that's a girl's color!" and then suddenly it got hip and now EVERY guy wears it. It's sort of a pet peeve of mine.

Yeah, I liked the handwriting too. I hope so.

Although Buzz needs to bring back the little boy cat.
