So guys! Now that Livejournal is back up and Russia and all them countries have their platforms back up, we can go back to fangirling to the fullest!

Especially me, because the Echo Base CA guys are back to doing daily vlogs, this time for Vlog A Lotta August. I was going to join them. but by the time I realized the month change it was the 2nd. I can still technically do "a lotta" but IDK if I wanna.

But also, I saw Harry and the Potters on Sunday with splits_thesky and my friends Carlos and Mike. I hadn't seen Mike since 2008 or so? So that was a great surprise to see him (spoiled by his check-in to the bus stop on the way into NYC). Mike is also my one friend with the most discerning taste in music. I was already nervous that Carlos might not like it, and then finding out that Mike was coming along made it worse. Neither of them were Potterheads. Why were they both coming to a wizard rock show. But we hung out about in Brooklyn at a diner first for food, and then a cafe for smart phone charging time and Google Video chatting with Carlos' brother before heading on over to the The Knitting Factory where the concert was. splits_thesky arrived just as we were walking up and she and I changed into our Hogwarts uniforms (aka we put our ties on :P). The guys didn't know what was happening but apparently really enjoyed the show despite themselves and I was super glad. Harry and the Potters also rocked a lot more than I thought they would. Not sure if it was the new drummer (I MISS YOUNG OLLIVANDERRRRRR) or the set-up at the venue, but they were really loud and most of us went home half-deaf.

We arrived when Leema Mountain was playing. I didn't care much for them and was glad I didn't miss MC Kreacher's set. I had heard of his awesomeness!

During S.P.E.W., Harry Potter Year 4/Joe runs around in the crowd and stops every now and then so someone can yell "SPEW!" And he got disconnected during Sunday night's performance. But they recovered and nothing went wrong after that. And there wasn't as many "checks" as they did at the World Cup when I saw them in November, but they did cat checks! Also, because Carlos thought splits_thesky and I were related and she is a Gryffindor and I'm Ravenclaw, I decided we are probably the curly-haired version of the Patil twins.


Afterwards I saw everyone off to their respective transportation before going home myself. I was tired and my "dogs were barking" as Carlos likes to say. It was a good time all around. And I converted non-Potterheads to wizard rock! WHO KNEW THAT WAS A POSSIBILITY.
