TV premiere week

So... a week later I'm caught up on all the TV that premiered this week! I think the only one I'm already giving up on is Hawaii 5-0. No fault of its own, it's just not my thing. Oh, and Lonestar, because I completely zoned out on that one and the premise isn't that strong in my opinion.

This isn't all the shows I watched, just the ones I have anything to say other than "It was cool."


How I Met Your Mother: That was an awkward way of being sneaky about that wedding. I'm guessing it was Barney and Robin's? Or at least that's what we're supposed to think. But again, that girl was blonde! Ted really has a thing for blondes, doesn't he?



The Event: I don't really have anything to say about this one, but it reminds me of how it felt to watch Heroes for the first time. It wasn't as epic as Heroes, but I think they're going in the right direction. Then again, it felt a bit like FlashForward--not that FlashForward and Heroes ended up all that different from each other, but we'll see which way it goes.



Terriers: I can't even place why, but I love this series. The characters are just so comfortable and I just want to hang with them every week and see what craziness they're up to.



Undercovers: This was kinda okay. I watch too many similar shows (Leverage, White Collar, Chuck) for me to be enthralled, but the sidekick dude is adorable. Also, I'm not sure if this is what that planned Mr. & Mrs. Smith series evolved into, but I hope so, because it reminds me of that, too.



The Big Bang Theory: I disapprove of this relationship bsery they're throwing on Sheldon, even as much as I like Mayim Bialik.



Outsourced: This is filled with too much facepalming for me to enjoy. India's not that clueless about American culture, and it's highlighting the stupidity of America too much for me to feel good about myself while watching. But I'll keep with it another week or two.



My Generation: I wasn't that engrossed in the series itself, but I love the characters, so I'll continue with this one.



Big Time Rush: CARLOS AND JAMES YOU ARE MY FAVORITE RIDICULOUS BUDDY SYSTEM.

I also really liked that song despite myself.


In conclusion, WHAT.

BORED TO DEATH IN AN HOUR. I AM EXCITE.

I think Mayiam Bialik is awesome, but I don't like them trying to force a romance between her character and Sheldon. I think a friendship between the two would be awesome.

I agree. I don't think Sheldon cares much for dating, and making his relationship super-quirky doesn't make it funnier.

Terriers is about two buddies who start doing private detective work on their own. It's like Psych without the silliness (or fake psychics), although it is pretty funny in its own way.

I just started watching HIMYM and we're so behind I think bc it's possible Ted just started dating Victoria...or maybe that's a repeat, I'm not sure, lol! I'm a bit out of the loop, but I've started noticing the spoilers for them and the wedding one def. caught my eye. Barney and Robin would be made of all sorts of awesome in a hilariously funny way.

Just saw the first episode of The Event and the first thing I thought of at the end of the episode was Heroes when the plane disappeared. Now I'm thinking aliens and that's about all I have in regards to that. All I want is for it not to be as vague as Lost every episode.

I MISS VICTORIA. But yeah, that was season one, lol. The problem is they've gone to so many weddings throughout the series that it's hard to tell what went where every time you see another wedding scene.

Yeah, I remember someone mentioning on Twitter that Sheldon liked girls and I was like, "That will never happen. There was a girl in his bed and he did nothing about it." Also, they're making his relationship into the uber-scientific one Leonard had with Leslie. It's stupid.

I have not seen any of these (though, this is making me RLY EXCITED to watch BTR. <3)!

...instead, I have been using what little TV time I have to watch Phineas and Ferb, because it seems to be ALWAYS on, and I want to watch things the Tizz is in, these days. Of course, I HAVE already seen all the eps, and most of them multiple times, so now I'm just watching them for the - what, hundred millionth time?? Yeah.

Oh man, I cannot even. BTR got me through last week and is pulling me through this one (and it just started, I know, but oh, yesterday was a test of my willpower). I just... want the CD to be out so I have more of these guys to fill my day with. *rolls around in/over them*

But loool, enjoy that? I... have been mostly re-watching BTR music videos over and over in my spare time on my iPod (podcasts? what podcasts?) so I can't say anything bad. At least there's more Phineas and Ferb cartoons?

lulz, aaaactually, I totally spent this past Sunday watching Phineas and Ferb, except for an hour in the middle, when I watched BTR reruns. They are CONSISTENTLY AMAZING! aaaaand STILL hilarious, idek how they do it.

Yeah, I couldn't get past the pilot. I mean, it was that, Nikita and Terriers and while I did choose the superior show, the networks did not. :(

I hate the name of that because there was this Robin Williams/Ewan McGregor movie that was HORRIBLE called Being Human and every time people mention the series that's the first thing that pops into my mind and I go, "WHAT," then cringe and then realize what they're actually talking about.

BUT YES, OKAY I WILL WATCH AN EPISODE OR TWO. THAT AND MISFITS, APPARENTLY, ACCORDING TO MY CO-WORKERS. British/Canadian TV coming at us?

Yeah, sadly, the Tizz in a cheerleading uniform was noooot enough incentive to watch. ...maybe if it was, like, the Tizz AS SHARPAY in a cheerleading uniform?? Buuuut maybe not.

lulz, I totally hadn't even HEARD of that movie until I started Googling the show and it kept coming up. ...I just read the Wikipedia summary, though, and, yeaaaaah, gonna skip that one.

Oh yeah, eeeeeveryone keeps talking about how great Misfits is; I keep meaning to watch it (at...some point)!! But re: BH, make sure you at least watch the first two episodes...because I wasn't totally hooked until the second, sooo (of course, that was probably also because most of the focus that ep is on my favorite character, BUT STILL. Episode 5 is the best, though, I think [lulz, I mean, the first season IS only 6 episodes, sooo. Doesn't take that long!]!).
