I purposely haven't posted because I wanted to lump all the TV commentary I could in one post and my otherwise free time has been swallowed up by The L Word and anime. If you've seen me comment somewhere it's because it was during some theme song sequence gave me some leeway to do so.
I'm rushing like this because I want to get at least five animes and two American shows over with before school starts Thursday. Not for any particular reason, that's just my random goal. I'm super excited to go back, unlike most of my flist. Heh. Anyway. TV.
Sunday night TV was mostly "eh."
How I Met Your Mother: Didn't we just establish in the last episode that Marshall didn't have feelings for any other woman besides Lily? Even a stripper that looks exactly like her didn't get him hot. And now suddenly there's Jenkins (I was so disappointed she was a woman-- I was ready for some Leeroy Jenkins jokes, also the new low Barney would go to, haha) out of nowhere mixing things up. And I don't know how advertised this was since I barely watch CBS outside of Monday night and Craig Ferguson, but random Amanda Peet is random.
Robin Scherbatsky is Julie Chen, now? Oh, okay. And I do say "But um," a lot myself. *facepalm*
I have nothing to say about AOP, Modern Family or TBBT, other than "awww" at Sully, Sheldon and Mitchell.
Chuck: I like Awesome on the team a lot. And I still refuse to watch it, but what they did to Brandon Routh's eyes in Superman Returns is a crime. His brown eyes are soo pretty. And I spoiled myself for his character because I had a shallow moment and had to check his IMDB page (Levi's friends with Quinto and Bomer, you know? And casting pretty much the only Superman without geek cred outside of The Lonely Island fandom is... random), and IMDB had his episodes listed. >_<
And hey, Wilhelm Scream and IT'S A TRAP. "It's a trap. My trap." I love it.
White Collar: I LIKE THE NEW CREDITS. Although it's kinda random to make new ones for 1.5 and not hold out until season two. I was surprised by how much I actually missed this show, too. I didn't really care much but when it started I was all, sjadhlsakdsadsasdas. And I used to roll my eyes at the slashers but so help me, I was rooting for CPR in that scene.
Leverage: I have to watch this one again (soon, I got my dad into the show so he's powering through the episodes himself right now), but I think I liked it. Too many cons in one episode. I was confused for most of it. D:
Although the kiddies are <3333333, we need Sophie back nowwww (I understand Gina was off having a kid, but I still miss her!), and oh, Nate whyyyyy.
Haven't seen Supernatural yet, lalalalala.
Burn Notice: Oooh, the client's name is Calia. I've never seen that name before. Prettyyy.
CAGNEY & LACEY. A+
I'VE MISSED THIS SHOW. I just miss everything on cable, don't I?
Okay, I'm going to go watch season four of The L Word while I wait for links to SPN, The Deep End and Archer-- all of which I'll watch tomorrow after I come back from the movies (I'm super-behind on movies, but I can't say no to Han Solo and Rick O'Connell).

Date: 2010-01-22 08:20 pm (UTC)Off-the-wagon!Nate certainly ups the intrigue, I'll admit.

Date: 2010-01-22 08:27 pm (UTC)I also say "I guess" as an answer to questions a lot. People point these things out to me a lot, haah.
ETA: YUP. She's apparently in Gulliver's Travels (RANDOM CASTING), and Jason Segel's in that.

Date: 2010-01-22 06:36 am (UTC)AWESOME IS AWESOME.
I don't think the file I got had credits for White Collar. I would have noticed them...huh. What's different? Is it longer?
HARDISON HAD HIS SHIRT OF FOR HALF A SECOND. I WOULD LIKE MORE OF THIS.
Need to watch Burn Notice, I'm a few episodes behind! :S

Date: 2010-01-22 08:42 pm (UTC)They're completely different. The old ones were monochrome and blue-tinted, and these are full color and white borders. It almost felt like credits for Miami Vice-- or Burn Notice (ever since that Jay-Z Big Pimpin' video I connect white borders with Miami :/).
WHAT. I MISSED THAT.
Oooh, really? It wasn't an amazing premiere, but I'm glad to have it back. Catch up!

Date: 2010-01-22 08:43 pm (UTC)Ted Raimi would be cool - or Kevin Sorbo or Renée O'Connor. *hee*

Date: 2010-01-23 01:34 am (UTC)As for White Collar, I liked it well enough before the hiatus, but like you I didn't realize how much I missed it until I watched this episode. I was very glad to see that Peter is not the big bad guy (I didn't think he was, but now it's official). Also, I'm with him when it comes to Kate. Poor Neal.

Date: 2010-01-26 08:39 am (UTC)It's almost confusing how a charismatic guy like Neal who's also a con man could get so blind-sided by Kate! But yeah, I feel for the guy too.
