TRUE FACT: I HAD PLANNED TO USE MY "GABE IN HIS COBRA SHIRT" ICON FOR THIS, BUT MY GLEE CAN ONLY BE EXPRESSED BY LITTLE!SHAWN.

Why is everyone on Twitter hating on GI Joe? THAT WAS AMAZING.

I think I've mentioned before that I wasn't a Transformers fan when I was younger-- I had one that turned into a helicopter and I could never figure out how to actually transform him so I kinda resented the whole series and toys for that.

But GI Joe? I barely remember the cartoon, but I had so many toys. And the Delta and Sigma series were way after I stopped watching Saturday morning cartoons (I think the last year I watched Saturday morning cartoons was something like 1999. I remember like Men in Black and Godzilla and The Mummy and all those franchise cartoons). But I was very concerned about the casting, and the only one I really approved of was Snake Eyes because really now, who's better to be Snake Eyes than Ray Park!? But of the actual cast they cobbled together, the only one I don't know is the chick playing Scarlett (which is weird because I've seen four movies with her according to IMDB, including Shopgirl. WHOOPS). I'm fine with that though because I never even cared for Scarlett when I was a kid (I always confused her and Cover Girl, D:).

And I was always more of a Cobra Commander fan (true facts: I have at least five Storm Shadow figures-- dude was amazing), than the Joes. But KEDSAJFHDEKSA;FEDSAFDES DESTRO AND BARONESS (I don't even like Sienna Miller, what) AND STORM SHADOW AND SNAKE EYES BEING SO KICK-ASS. IT WAS LIKE MY CHILDHOOD DAYDREAMS COME TO LIFE OMGGGGGGGG.

I never liked Duke but when Duke is played by Channing Tatum, I can get behind that (dude can act. Everyone just knows him from Step Up, but seriously watch A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints or Stop-Lost. DUDE CAN ACT). When he was trying to save Anna it was a little ehhhh, but I can forgive that. And Rip Cord's supposed to be a legit redhead, so that was like,"Wait, WHAT." But I can forgive that, because again, Marlon's amazing. The CG of the planes and that one scene with the balloons floating past the broken glass ceiling and omgwtfpolarbear (lol, I so wanted Heavy Duty or Breaker to find him later on, omg) was weird. But I CAN FORGIVE THAT TOO. BECAUSE THIS MOVIE WAS LIKE EXPLOSION AFTER ANOTHER AND THEY SAID "KNOWING IS HALF THE BATTLE" LIKE THREE TIMES AND MR.EKO ADEWALE HEAVY DUTY GOT TO SAY "YO JOE" AND I DIED A LITTLE, OMG (ALSO SAïD AS BREAKER, HAIIIII I C U THERE LOST CREW).

AND THEN AND THEN AND THEN. THEY DIDN'T CUT BRENDAN FRASER'S CAMEO (ALTHOUGH, UMMM MORE TIME ON THE BIKE, PLZ) AND I WAS LIKE :D :D :D :D :D :D AND THEN KEVIN J O'CONNOR SHOWED UP LIKE HE ALWAYS DOES AND I ALMOST BROKE MY FACE WITH MY GRINNING AND JUST AT THE SOUND OF HIS VOICE I WAS LIKE, "OMFG KEVINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!" AND CLAPPED SO HARD MY SISTER WAS LIKE, "......." AND THEN FUCKING ARNOLD VOSLOO WAS EVEN THERE AND IT WAS LIKE VAN HELSING HAD NEVER HAPPENED. OMG, SOMMERS, I HEART YOU AND YOUR CAMEO!LOYALTY SO MUCH.

AAAAHHH BRB FINDING ALL MY FIGURES AND TANKS FOR AN EPIC BATTLE BEFORE PSYCH TONIGHT.

P.S. I love how one of my friends on Twitter was like, "I should've seen (500) Days of Summer instead." But according to TRS that's for "people who want to be in relationships," so I was like LOLOLOL NO. AND THEN JG-L POPPED UP IN GI JOE ANYWAY. MY MOVIE HAS EXPLOSIONS, 'KAY. NO ZOOEY, BUT IT HAS EXPLOSIONS. AND BRENDAN FRASER (FOR A HOT MINUTE).

He's in it for one scene so it's really not worth it just for him, but yup. He mentioned his cameo last year at some Comicon interview apparently and he was so excited about it, I assumed he would just get cut. But he wasn't, although they don't credit him. :/

I'm a huge freaking GI Joe fan! My boy and I are going to see it hopefully this weekend. I can't wait.

And I feel you on Cobra. I was more fond of his group than the Joes (Destro and the Baroness...I love the Baroness).

I hope you like it! I keep reading reviews on it that are horrible but they don't justify why it was horrible other than being a an unoriginal popcorn flick, so I'm really confused about why people are hating it.

Destro and the Baroness are really amazing in it. All the characters are, really, even if some of their back stories are off.

I've heard it was shit but I am gonna watch it one day for myself. I like a lot of the actors (hey Brendan Fraser cameo!) so however it goes I've got that on my side.

I've read one other comment about it on my flist that was positive. IDEK, sometimes I like the random movie no one else does (Push being the most recent entry in this list of "WANT FANDOM NOW"). I think of all the characters Destro, Baroness and Scarlett were the best, so if you like those actors it should be good. I mean, like I said, I don't care for Sienna Miller and I thought she was awesome, so.
