Weekend movies and weekday shows

I am so glad they got Karen Allen to be in the new Indiana Jones movie. She is so clearly the only woman I could see Indy with ever. I finally saw the entirety of the first two Indian Jones movies this weekend. I had already seen Last Crusade when I was younger. I also saw U.S. Marshals, which was really good albeit slow in some parts, and now I have more reasons to finally get around to watching The Fugitive. I love Tommy Lee Jones really more than is necessary, but I might make it a Harrison Ford day and watch Blade Runner and Patriot Games too.
I also finally got around to watching POTC3, since my mom caught up on the other two on StarzHD and none of us had seen the third one. So over dinner (and long after-- dude, that movie NEVER ENDED) we watched it. My dad and I were completely lost with all the plotlines interweaving but mom seemed to enjoy it. I kept it on long enough to watch the scene after the credits and I guess that was cute? I would've blown a fuse if the other pairing won out, so I guess I liked it. I want to believe that the many Jacks were in the script and not due to Depp's ego but I can't bring myself to watch more than the three hours or whatever that the movie already was so soon. So in another month or so I'll go through the DVD extras or something.
Big Bang Theory: MANDARIN CHINESE! \o/
Honestly, I think I could find any blog if I wanted to. Fail, Howard (btw, his Superman belt buckle is awesome!)
...People clapped at Penny saying yes? It's not a proposal, you guys. And wth, I think that's the first time I've reacted more to the laugh track than the actual show. But I don't really understand why everyone is so wrapped up in Penny/Leonard. I'm sorry, but it's just typical sitcom to have a love interest and I know that I"m in the minority but UST > all else. It's the X-Files theory.
I love Sheldon's logic. And OMG "nauseous" vs. "nauseated" has bothered me forever. Thank you Grammar Girl for recently clearing it up.
HIMYM: I just shouted out, "THIS IS MY LIFE RIGHT NOW. I LOVE YOU TED." Um, and it is, in a way. This show and its theories about dating and relationships in general, I love it.
I love how:
1. Marshall never took off his Guitar Hero guitar while getting dressed and wasn't even properly dressed by the time he made it to the street.
2. Robin never took off her makeup napkin or whatever (is there a proper name for that?).
3. Robin was the one to ask fro Ted's room when they get there.
4. The hospital is clearly equal running distance from Robin and Lily's jobs and Ted's apartment (and Marshall and Lily's?).
How did they do that with the pencil? Was that NPH's magic or CGI? I don't recall that from before either.
DOUG BENSON! \o/
If Marshall had gotten his job back, he'd have the money to pay for his Titanic!apartment. So, not so much a miracle.
lol, "STELLLLLAAAA!!!" would've been so appropriate there.
I love how Barney was running for Ted as well, but why was that bus going the wrong direction on that street? It clearly said "ONE WAY" right next to the crosswalk.
AND THEN. Robin couldn't look at Barney while Ted and he were talking. And THEN that last moment when Robin walked back into the room?! Ugh. Next season, I love you, and you're only a episode and a summer away. But then again, this show always has fantastic cliffhangers. HIMYM > Heroes and Lost combined, what up!
Annnd then Sarah Chalke had to go get cast on another season of Scrubs (really? Is another season necessary? Hi Buffy the Vampire Slayer!) and fck up the plotlines more than they already were. And the mother is a brunette anyway, so uhh, FIX THIS CARTER AND BAYS OR I WILL CUT YOU. Or something.
I still wish Alicia Silverstone didn't have such an ego. Because I would've preferred to have her in Sarah's place. Also, Josh Radnor was on Miss Match so it would've been a cute role reversal or something.
I honestly thought that Barney and Ted were going to end up in hospital beds together and work it out like that, but I'll take this way too.
NEXT SEASON PLEASE!
