Anyone concerned for the tree outside my building need not worry anymore. Whoever lives in the apartment where the tree was resting against just opened the window and did... something, and the tree snapped in half. I'm not sure what they did, we were watching the ~*~enhanced~*~ Lost rerun and heard a sound like a truck dumping sand. When we checked the window, the tree was already down. My mom and I were sad, but I figured it wouldn't end good for the tree anyway, so I'm not so torn up. Mom hasn't let it go though, she just went to bed saying, "It didn't have to die that way." lol, I know it sounds crazy but we're a bit of nature lovers, I guess. I remember when I was younger, a neighbor nailed a basketball hoop onto a tree in his backyard and killed the tree. He went to my school so I was really mad at him for a while. Or maybe my mom and I are just really connected to nature because of our names.
I did watch all my shows for this week save for Supernatural and although I haven't watched Big Brother 9 yet, I don't think I will. I saw the beef about that idiot and his comments on the show and I'm pretty miffed. You don't say crap like that when you've worked with autistic kids, and working with them gives you no right to do that anyway. Big Brother is probably the lamest show I watch, and the fact that they pushed season 9 up to deal with the strike wasn't helping them win my favor anyway. Canceling BB wouldn't do any good but that ass better be kicked out before he wins any kind of prize. And here I thought James was a low point in the show.
Uh, in happier news everyone should check out Quick and Dirty tips. I've checked out Mr. Manners and Grammar Girl and I adore them. But there might be other podcasts there that benefit you more than I, so go check them out. :D
