I really miss The Black Donnellys being on TV. :( *must watch online tomorrow night*

I didn't think this movie would be so bad. But it was.

The critics have all called it the "female American Pie" and that it was sub-par. And I just thought they were being prudish about the female protagonists versus Jim and his friends. But no. It wasn't funny, I didn't care about the characters and what the hell? Just boring. There was James Roday, being a jerk but still adorkable.

Chad's basically Nick from Miss Match when he was eighteen, but less loveable. And the haircut to boot. As much of a horn dog as he is, the rest of the movie was sorta bummer. I'll always revel the idea of James having a bigger role in this movie than Ashton Kutcher (James 20 mins, Ashton 1 scene... on his back). But the fact that James and Ryan Reynolds are enemies? Much more love.

And why does Yasmine Bleeth always do her best work when no one is looking!? *sigh*

Just Like Heaven: OMG. I love this movie! Everything was just so good. Ruffalo astounds me and if seeing him in anything didn't make me think of a sad memory, I'd love him a lot more. As it is, I'm a huge fan. And everything in this movie is top-notch, including Jon Heder, who I always assumed was a going nowhere. But he's actually good. And so is Reese, who, Oscar winner or not, I am not a fan of.

And the story, which is obviously outlandish, still works somehow. I'm assuming it's because you care for the characters. Although the tie-in with the opening sequence goes a bit far.

Ghost, while fun at the time, is tired now. So maybe the ghost/angel loves human genre needed some reviving. I haven't seen City of Angels though.

American Dreamz: I'm officially scared. Never have I seen a movie character come to life. And if it had ever happened, I'd have hoped it was a good one. But no, Iqbal had to go and transform into Sanjaya and terrorize the TV waves. I'm terrified of what's next.

Also, you know that they wouldn't announce the president's participation in something like the AI finale weeks before it happened. I guess that's the funny part, but I loved how neither POTUS nor VP had secret service with them once they were in the main auditorium.

Chris Klein just gets better with each role and I can't believe he ever did Here on Earth. I feel bad for the guy now. That last scene is totally him lashing back at TomKat. And I am right there along with him, just because. Although Hugh/Mandy sounds like a awesome RPH couple that needs fic. I may try to tackle that in the future if nothing pops up at [livejournal.com profile] rareslash and the idea is still in my head.

Eight Below: This one was better than I thought it would be, but no one told me Jason Biggs was in it! I don't even like him much, but when I saw him I lit up. Maybe because I thought I would have to watch Paul Walker for 90% of the movie. Which ended up with 70% but not because of Jason.

My initial reason to see this was for Moon Bloodgood, which reminds me I need to see Pathfinder. Lucky girl goes home to Eric Balfour and got to work with Taye Diggs, Adam Baldwin and be on that one episode of Monk. I'm a fan.

Anyway, the dogs stole the movie. I don't get why Jerry didn't have a checklist of the dogs for when he returned but whatever.

The Sopranos: Last week was a nice symbolic return. Tony is so paranoid, but rightfully so. I have no idea where this is headed.

More paranoia this week. And stop with the movie already! It's like a Entourage crossover, STOP IT. I get confused. Stay with the gore. I'll be happy.

I think Phil is my favorite character, next to AJ (because he's a loser just like me and he could be me if he was real.... and a girl. Well, there's other differences, but you get the idea). He's so interesting to me I could watch The Phil Show.

DUDE. I think I know that last church, but it's going to kill me trying to remember where it is, if I do.

Entourage: LLOYD WINS THE SHOW. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH. And then Ari to the rescue. See? He does care.

I don't understand how Turtle dealt with that girl for so long. Friends I can deal with. But complete strangers talking bad about my dog? No. I'm lenient with my own dog because really, poodles aren't tough dogs so I can't really defend her. But if I had a rott or a pitt? NO. GTFO.

And anytime I get to see Sloane, I'm happy. So sorry about that weekend, E, but I'm happy. Even if Sloane was being a girl at the end (but you saw that smile right? sadsafdgfhhjhk I LOVE SLOANE). What say someone writes a fic where E bumps into Emily while on that vacation?

I have to go dig up that (old school!! wasn't that like Diggnation #8?!) digg link about LJ moods, because I'm pretty sure 75% of my moods are "cold". Why am I always so cold!? I need to exercise more, gorramit.

P.S. I skimmed through it, and nothing is all that amazing but I still kinda want the Blood Diamond soundtrack. I have a soft spot for really good love themes (INSTRUMENTAL ONES kthnx Celine) but I'm not finding any here. I do want the song that Maddy and Danny danced to though, if I remember to go dredge through the credits for it. Anyway, anyone have any good music recs? *points to music* This is getting frustrating.
