I like to jump on bandwagons sometimes if you couldn't tell. So Happy 4th to y'all who celebrate. And since everyday is apparently some kind of holiday somewhere, Happy ___ to the lot of you celebrating that day!

Yesterday I got lost in Manhattan. Fun times. I used the GPS on my cell to get somewhat found again (I was looking for Grand St. which the maps make you believe is right between Centre and Lafayette and in front of Broomes, when in fact there's ten blocks in between) and then lost again in Little Italy, which I'd never been to, looking for the corner of Mulberry St. with the Paul Frank store on it. Lord & Taylor did not have Julius tees either (a discovery I found after walking from Rockefeller Center on 51st, where I did not discover the NBC store OR Nintendo World, to 33rd and 5th.) I did, however find a Jamba Juice that had Pineapple Smoothies with bananas. Unfortunately I forgot I had that same smoothie last time, and they put strawberries in it which makes it look nothing-- nor taste-- like a pineapple/banana smoothie. But I did get a few comics that I needed, so ha! And looking for Grand St.? Yeah, the one Thai take-out place didn't have mee krob! But I got this delicious (quick 'n delish!) noodle-type thing that was good. And I found an Indian take out place which I am so stalking next time I go down to Centre St., my home away from home You know, the manner of which I'm addicted to the set of Conviction, which last one season, is sad. But hey, if I lived near White Rock, I'd be just as crazy about the boardwalk too.

So I walked up and down between 51st and 33rd, and then took two trains to Canal St. to walk around Chinatown and Little Italy for the day. I'm tired, and out of things to do within my Metrocard's limits so I go home. The moment I hit my train stop, my dad calls me to come downtown to see a movie. So I go home to drop off the comics, refresh and head back down. My iPod dies the moment I board the train. With nothing to read on a local train, I almost died of boredom. But we saw Live Free Or Die Hard and then I got Kelly Clarkson and Mika's CD (shut up, I don't know why I bought it either except that it was $10 and Rufus's CD was $14, I'd forgotten wanted Nelly Furtado's and I wanted to buy two CDs.)

Die Hard! )

And apparently, popcorn movies are really good for my brain. Because while my eyes are enjoying the explosions or senseless violence my brain is concocting large half-baked, thought-provoked paragraphs like the following ones:

Looooongggg and half-baked )

Here, have a slashy promo.

P.S. No, I do not live in the South Bronx. Mapmakers were on crack when they mapped out the Bronx. South Bronx is actually to the west.
