bohemia: (HIMYM - Barney subway)

I had such a great day today. It started with a mid-term, and I stayed two hours late for a class that was canceled, but the morose mood is starting to lift and I feel like I can do anything!

I told my mom I was getting sick of chicken and was thinking of finally cutting it from my diet and she went and bought salmon and shrimp for dinners sometime this week. I've been begging for shrimp at home since I tried it the first time when I was maybe eight. So basically all this time I've just had to give up chicken to get it. I haven't eaten red meat since I can't remember when. The only meat I eat is turkey and chicken-- and seafood if you consider that meat. I never have because whenever meat was forbidden at church, we had fish instead. It was always the "anti-meat". The only problem I see is having to give up Hooters' chicken wings, but I haven't had anyone to go there with in ages anyway. Also maybe giving up Popeye's-- but I was always more of a Popeye's mashed potato fan than chicken.

Anyway, TV!

In reference to Big Love, I never thought I'd want Sarah out of the picture as much as I do now. And in reference to Brothers & Sisters, lol, Kitty's stuck in a PG-rated Little Children.

Dancing with the Stars: PONTIUS WAS THERE SUPPORTING STEVE-O AND HE STILL HAS LONG HAIR, OMG.

Also, Tom Bergeron called Woz "The Woz". :DDD

How I Met Your Mother: I have no idea what a Harvey's is, or even if that's a real restaurant but if it was legal to grab those serving trays, that'd be a collection I'd have. But lololol, the website. I had checked it out a few weeks back and it was still just on hold. They didn't do much, but I'm loving Alan Thicke all over the place. Mr. Robin Sparkles, sir, you are amazing.

The whole gang knows Barney and Robin slept together, but is Marshall still out of the loop when it comes to Barney being in love? Wow, Lily, way to keep that up.

BTW, Bob Saget on a Monday night sitcom on another network isn't exactly cross-programming, since it's at 9pm, not 8:30pm. But it's still not clicking in my head,

Nothing to say on Chuck other than "hooray, guest stars!" Imhotep is coming for you!

Castle: OMG HAI CHARLIE FINN, WHERE HAVE YOU BEENNNNNNN. WHY ARE YOU ONLY IN ONE SCENE. SUCH FAILLLLLL.

Also, I love that scene where Alexis (I had to go look up her name, he never calls her by her name!) freaked out about the turnstyle. 1) Because LOL that'd have been me when I was her age, guilting over inane things and 2) All I could think about was the "Lucky Penny" episode from How I Met Your Mother.

Lost has just been filler to me lately. Which will bite me in the ass when these past two episodes end up being the start of the hugest revelations, but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

Battlestar Galactica: I know I'm in the less popular opinion pile when it comes to this show, so just fyi, not a glorious "omgggg, show" post.

I feel bad that I never really got into the series like others have. During most of the episodes I'd be going, "Oh hey, this is just like that episode of *insert other sci-fi show here*" or guessing waht would happen beforehand correctly without being spoiled for anything besides Tigh being a cylon. I mean, I read stuff before I knew who they were talking about, so the only thing that really stuck out was everyone's reaction to Tigh on LJ. So I'm not really sure why every "OMGGG" moment to me was just a "oh, okay" moment for me.

I'm just going to accept that, but how the hell did they go back in time? The writers were watching too much Lost or I missed something huge (as I tend to do, with the character cut and grow hair at faster rates than usual, and DUN DUN DUNNNN type of surprise characters coming out of nowhere) because I'm pretty sure they were supposed to be in the future. And okay, Gaius said it was a new Earth, but how the hell does Hera (I thought they meant Laura for a second, lol) become the mitochondrial mother when there was a whole other Earth beforehand?

Gaius, n'awww. The only character I kept an inkling of fascination for the entire series (I went back and forth on Adama and Laura, and Tigh only really tugged at me during this last half-season) so I enjoyed his ending. Everyone else-- IDK, I'll never understand this series like y'all do.

Anyway, Eric Stoltz is in Caprica and I'm really upset because I watch anything having to do with him (hi, Grey's Anatomy!) and I wasn't planning on watching Caprica. Dear Stoltz, find better TV shows.

Supernatural: The second to last episode was a crock of shit. Now people can just become ghosts whenever the hell they please? Sam sure could've used that back when Dean was walking all over the "midlands".

And this week? Oh wow, the black guy's the villain! I'm really glad that's never happened before on this show or that could really be a problem! /sarcasm

I love that angels can be killed by one another and that Castiel is having doubts. WTF is the difference separating them from humans, then?

In closing, this story makes me entirely too happy on various levels. And this, lol.
