I KNOW, I KNOW... TV. But I really need to post about this week so I can record it for posterity~*~*.

It all started Saturday, when splits_thesky came up to see the play I'm helping with at school. My dad and I drove down to pick her up from the train station and our car battery died? So we had to wait until a family friend came all the way out to give us a jump and then get to school with enough time for me to do my stage manager stuff. I got there later than I was supposed to--but earlier than the audience, so there was that.

The next day we drove her all the way home, which is always a fun ride, except the intermittent clouds made the roads very bi-polar and scary to drive on at times. My dad and I kept shouting at the rainbows we saw on the way home. THERE WAS A DOUBLE RAINBOW AND A HALF.

After I got back home splits_thesky and I both realized I could have just stayed at her house because she was supposed to come back to NYC for the Rooney show yesterday ANYWAY. But we (mainly me) weren't thinking straight. Then that night's play performance was canceled because one of our cast members hurt their foot.

The rest of the week was a blur. I didn't do much except watch TV and laze about until Wednesday when I went back downtown to pick up splits_thesky and see Rooney. We stopped at McGee's Pub, the inspiration for MacLaren's on How I Met Your Mother, got a little tipsy on Horse's Necks (me) and Gin & Tonics (splits_thesky) and then somehow found our way to the Rooney show (there was a drunk!voicepost planned but I couldn't remember my passcode since I hadn't done a VP in AGES), where we both got another round of Gin & Tonics and tried to enjoy the show from various points in the venue. We were near the stage by the end though, which was what mattered.

( I may have been inebriated, but I have duties at concerts. )

And then the show ended 20 minutes before splits_thesky's train left NYC so even though we made a mad dash to get there in time, she missed it and had to crash at my place. By the time we got back to my house, the next train would have just been pulling into NYC (two hours after the train she was supposed to catch).

AND THEN WE ALMOST MISSED HER TRAIN AGAIN TODAY. But we made it by seconds, even though we were slightly hungover. And now splits_thesky is now safely back at her own home, I made it to the play (and tech went on without a hitch even though neither lighting or sound was at the rehearsal yesterday), and had a fun day altogether. But now I'm just tired. TOMORROW, TV.

ETA: ALSO! When we were trying to get back to Penn Station for the train, one of the actors from that Enjoy play I saw recently was on the same platform and I had a small celebrity freak-out. :D

Wow, what a world of difference taking initiative makes. Last night I couldn't think of what to do so I shut the computer down early and went to the living room. I watched The Black Donnellys there. I hadn't really paid attention last week so I watched that again. Dad seemed confused at first and I explained as much as possible. But as usual with dad, he points out a lot of the logic holes and then we end up laughing at the show. I still love the boys. And duh, how'd I not notice that Kate Mulgrew was Captain Janeway? She looks different with long hair... and in real clothes. Heh.

Anyway, the point is, I got off the computer earlier and today I woke up really peppy. Lesson learned? I think not. See y'all tonight at 2am XD

Question: alcoholics, when they drink, do they get depressed the day after? I always thought they get depressed, drink to numb themselves and lather, rinse, repeat. No? I'm not making sense so I'll shut up.





Oh, which reminds me! DUDE. The I Am Legend trailers are back! And there's a ton more. I passed by there yesterday on the bus and I saw a blue screen and two reflector balloons. Also wires. Definitely a vampire movie ;-) There was a Mack truck parked right in front of the doors so you can't see inside from the street (not even if you were Tallilecki) but I was on a bus. Booyah, baby.

For communications yesterday we has to sit in on a feminist speech. Feminism riles me. Equality I'm good with. But when a third of your speech involves putting men down? You're not advancing yourself or making women look all that better, thanks. I have to go write a report on it and I'm trying my damnest not to go off on the speaker herself. Ugh. I think I'll watch Four Brothers instead.

P.S. I love this song. I swear, any song that makes me feel like I can speak Spanish makes me happy. And that's that I only listen to Christina Aguilera, Shakira, Nelly Furtado & Chingon. Well, and *NSYNC. XD

And lol, how is my moodpic anywhere close to satisfied?

I may be the only person who has broken her knee (not really but it's not functioning correctly) by sitting at a computer all day. I usually sit with one leg tucked under me for hours on end. So today I went to stand and just fell immediately because it wouldn't bend. It was hi-larious.

Enough about me. Supernatural starts tomorrow! 24 then is this Sunday and next week is Psych. I am shaking! Not because I'm cold, which I am, but I'm excited too.


splits_thesky, I may say "dude" a lot, but these two fuel the fire much more than just Shawn from Psych. Diggnation DUDE.


Also, how does one go about creating a feed for a site? There's a few sites I need to track on my LJ and I have no idea how to do it. *is lost*
