Psych day!
I saw Funny People. It could've been deeper but it was just glossy, depressing and long. I still enjoyed it. Although Apatow's daughter can sing pretty well and that one bar scene with EVERY COMEDIAN EVER was amazing.
TV this week-- loved Royal Pains and Leverage. I hate the stacked seasons on USA. Royal Pains is still going on, but Burn Notice is over, In Plain Sight's going to finish on Sunday and Psych and Monk are just beginning. I lik when they'd all end at the same time, right before my fall shows would start. Actually, I haven't seen this week's In Plain Sight yet. I was too busy with my layout to notice the time when they re-ran it yesterday.
Lake Bell's got a new series coming soon!! I love HBO. It's the only paid cable network I bother with, but employing my favorite B and C-Listers doesn't hurt.

xphoenixrising gave me:
pineapple - AKA the mascot of Psych? I never used to like them when I was younger because of the texture. Somewhere along the line that changed, and then Psych made them the fandom food of choice, so I always have pineapples in some form during the premiere or finale.
jason schwartzman - My fascination with Jason Schwartzman just grew out of my original "he's part of Wes Anderson's crew!" around 2007, I believe. I don't even remember why but I just started listening to Rooney and had probably seen one of Schwartzman's movies and decided I'd champion the entire Coppola clan from then on. Nicolas Cage is like the black sheep of that family, but sometimes he can be amazing as well.
gaming - I still have memories from buying the NES (at Kiddie City! Who remembers that place?!) and the first day when dad brought home the Amiga. Going to my uncle's house to play Avoid the Noid and Ninja Gaiden. Saving up to buy the N64. Gaming's always been a part of me. I used to spend hours in front of the TV making up stories across different games or zoning out listening to music from either my mom or my own stereo. I come up with a lot of great plots while I'm playing video games.
television - For as much as I watch, I still don't consider myself a huge TV person. But they're visual books in a way (each season is another book in the series, each episode is a chapter) and ever since I started seeing them like that, I can't stop adding new shows to my schedule. And except for my marathons, I still don't watch more than three hours a night, so it works out in my mind.
USA - As in my favorite network ever? Or the actual country that I have never left? I guess I really loved USA after Psych and just decided to watch every new show and ended up falling in love with all of them. I thought Royal Pains was gonna break that cycle, but it hasn't yet. As for the country, we're batshit sometimes and there's classier and more fascinating countries that I would love to visit one day, but I wouldn't want to actually be from anywhere else.
Changed my layout. It took me forever to do the banner because I wanted it exactly like it looked in my head, so I had to track down effect tuts, textures and brushes I didn't have. And then I changed Castiel's line of vision, but it's so small you can't even tell now.
Psych tonight! I won't be home when it premieres at 10, but I'll be back by the re-run. \o/

I miss her too, I've been watching all her crappy movies lately waiting for her to actually do something decent again. I hope that Porky's movie is a theatrical release, but I'm betting it won't be.

pineapple - AKA the mascot of Psych?
LOL, pretty much!! And aww, I've always loved pineapples. Hahah, the texture? For some reason the texture of pineapples always fascinated me. Idk why. I always thought they looked cool, but they looked spiky so I was always afraid to touch the whole pineapples that weren't cut up yet when I was younger.
And I am loving this layout. I like the hot pink! All bright and stuff, lol. :P

I used to think they were like thorns! I still don't know why it looks like that. Fruit is random sometimes.
Ha, thanks! I think I was going for that 80s feel with the neon-ness but more Cobra Starship-like 80s. Or something.
