I missed one episode of Brothers & Sisters so I'm all out of the loop there. UGH.

Someone explain where the whole idea to call Supernatural "show" came from? It always gets on my nerves but apparently it's the new thing to do and I cannot understand why. And it's not because it's not my favorite show either, because I can't bring myself to even call Psych "show." IT NEEDS A DEFINITE ARTICLE BEFORE IT.
bohemia: (Psych - Horrible words)
Because I haven't seen a DL of Friday's Late Night yet.

I'm really disappointed Lost keeps getting forgotten when I do these posts. I come home on Tuesday and it's already on so I have to wait a while before I get to see the episode, and right after that I'm doing homework so I never get the time to write anything down to comment on. Then again, a lot of this season has been answers to things I've sort of figured out or theorized enough to understand to my own satisfaction, so it's not the "WTF WTF" that it seems to be for most people. I don't really feel like I need to write things down and/or discuss it. But the last episode was a Hurley one, so I did enjoy that one. And the guest stars. ;)
bohemia: (ATHF - Meatwad)
Last Friday I played The Sims 2 and lost a whole day to that damn game. It threw me off my schedule so bad that I'm still paying for it. I caved on Monday night (to sleep, it was 3am) and didn't finish my homework for Screenwriting, but class was over before we got to me. WIN.

Sandra McCoy has a new business. The web site's adorably horrible, but I find it amusing that she's helping others when her career itself could use some boosting. But then again, I've heard of every one of the girls on the testimonials page so she might be onto something here.

Onto last week's TV:

In Plain Sight )

Supernatural )

And this week, so far:

Brothers & Sisters )

The Pacific )

Jonas )

Tremé was good too, but I can't say I'm intrigued by much of what's going on just yet. I'll probably watch it as it gets uploaded on OnDemand.

TBBT and V were okay, and HIMYM is giving me problems, so I don't know when I'll be watching that one. Aaaaand I just realized I missed AOP typing this. But now is Modern Family, so I will go watch that, then HIMYM if it works.

AND NOW I AM ON SPRING BREAK FOR A WEEK. This basically means I don't have school, but still have the same amount of work as if I did! But it's okay. I'll take my joy in the little things, like my back not hurting from my bookbag and waking up later than usual. And the fact that when I get back there's approximately six weeks left to my college career. :DDDDD
bohemia: (ATHF - Meatwad)
Haha, I forgot I'm in school now so I have to go to bed now. So... TV thoughts.

Men of a Certain Age )

Supernatural )

Burn Notice )

Big Love )

I don't know what just happened in Brothers & Sisters. I don't really care.

Supernatural )

Big Love )

I guess Men of a Certain Age was a repeat too? All of CBS' shows were, so I got to see Chuck live (which seems posed to add as many Superman-related people to its cast as possible), but then I watched WWE RAW and missed Men of a Certain Age.

The L Word-- all six seasons, super-longggg and spoilery )

Haha, I'm over here waiting for Brothers & Sisters and realized it's not on today. :P

The Big Bang Theory )

Melrose Place )

Supernatural )

White Collar is back on track. I'm excited to see how this plays out. V is kind of boring, but I'm not bored enough to stop watching, and I feel like things are going to heat up... eventually. Modern Family was hysterical, if the guest stars fell flat and Sunny was eh. I did like Frank messing everything up.

This is a great link about RPF and fandom. I agree with her points and a lot of the later comments bring up some amazing points that blew my mind. I missed most of Brothers & Sisters when it aired because I was busy sitting around processing things they brought up about characterization in RPF.

Also, I didn't take that part of the Supernatural episode mentioned that way, but considering the pictures it reminded me of, I think it shows how slow I am (especially because I'm always saying Dean=Jared more than Jensen).

Speaking of that episode of Supernatural )

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia )

White Collar )

Brothers & Sisters )

How I Met Your Mother )

Also, anyone want to be a beta? I've got one original fiction, two How I Met Your Mother fanfictions (Barney/Robin and Ted/Marshall/Lily), and one each of Leverage (Parker/Hardison), Push (Nick/older!Cassie), Brother & Sisters (Justin/Rebecca) and Supernatural (gen) fics. I know [livejournal.com profile] xphoenixrising and [livejournal.com profile] wandersfound expressed interest, but I don't want you to feel obligated ;) If anyone's interested, PM/e-mail me with your e-mail address and I'll send you the fics... sometime on Wednesday because tomorrow is Diggnation in NYC again and I have running around to do beforehand so I probably won't be online at all tomorrow.

Caught up with everything I missed last week, omg.

Brothers & Sisters )

How I Met Your Mother )

The Big Bang Theory )

V )

Melrose Place )

Modern Family )

Supernatural, lol this is so looong )

IASIP )

White Collar )

And I found episodes of Secret Girlfriend online so I caught up with that. I only wanted to see it for Sandra McCoy, but it's frat boy humor and completely random so I'm enjoying it. Plus, the female cast is completely made up of girls I've seen in other shows before so it's great for cracky crossover ideas.

This mix came to me after "The Rapture" and I decided there should be a mix about Jimmy. Except then I decided to make it about Castiel and his fall... and his relationships with Jimmy and Dean. And then it evolved into songs about Castiel and Jimmy's relationships with other characters.

Angel Radio: a Supernatural fanmix )
bohemia: (Misc - Movies)
I've been in the mood to watch movies that I haven't seen a million times, but also things that I don't have to pay attention to.

What I meant to do: make fun of male CW stars and their bad movies.

What I realized: "I've seen all of Welling's movies. I refuse to see Sorority Boys or Christmas Cottage. All the rest of Jared and Jensen's I've seen somehow. And Chad ...all that's left is A Cinderella Story."

What actually occurred: JULIE GONZALO & CMM MOVIE MARATHON!

Eh, it was worth it. I got my laughs in.

I have nothing to say on Melrose, Flash Forward, Modern Family or Sunny.

Supernatural )

The Office )

Psych )

I'll get to SGU after I finish re-watching the pilot... when I'm done with this movie I'm in the middle of now.

This week/weekend is not what I expected it to be, but it is a good thing. I'll talk about it when it's over but right now, a few things:

I'm almost done with my fanmixes, and I'll post them sporadically since there's six of them. But I really want to replace this one song, but I can't think of another song that fits as well. I think it's because I want more of a male perspective but a bit less acoustic/folky, but still in that "third act of the romantic movie" kind of feeling. Any ideas?

And what are your favorite fonts for text icons? I can't remember if I asked this recently, I've been meaning to.

TV! I tried watching Stargate Universe but I missed a few minutes in the second half-hour and then zoned out somewhere at the hour mark, so I have to re-watch it. But it didn't feel like Stargate to me so I might not get around to watching it again until after Psych ends.

bohemia: (HIMYM - Shoot me)
My plans to see The Final Destination in theatres keep falling through. I never saw the first one until DVD and my plans to see the second and third in theatres fell through until I missed my chance. Taking Woodstock is already out of theatres, too and I was dying to see that when it first teased during Important Things earlier this year. But seeing a Final Destination movie in the theatres is just not in the cards for me. I JUST WANT TO SEE ONE OF THEM IN ACTUAL THEATRES. IS THAT SO HARD. I DON'T EVEN CARE FOR THE 3D. ZOMG. UGH.

There's other things to talk about, but right now I just want to zone out in Hyrule and collect Poe souls. So here's some reviews while I go do that.

Ah, Emmys. Why do I bother anymore.

I saw the second episode of Bored to Death, but I'll be good and not talk about it until next week. It is my favorite so far though. I also saw the pilot to The Beautiful Life, but I want to rip my skin off at the sight of the fashion world so that's not going on my list.

The Office )

Supernatural )

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia )

I stayed around for Archer that played after IASIP, and it was funny. It's not really something I'd seek out, but if it's going to be paired with Sunny, I'll watch it.

I HAVE BEEN AWAKE SINCE THURSDAY AT 4PM. IF I DON'T SLEEP TONIGHT I WILL GO INSANE. I guess I've been home too long. I need to actually use the energy I'm gaining at night so I can actually get back on schedule. Maybe tomorrow, I need to do a few things and there's movies to be seen downtown.

Oh, by the way-- I made it back in July, but I spent a good while on Wednesday cleaning it up for the premiere. So I now declare [livejournal.com profile] boredtodeath_tv officially open, for those interested. I'm not sure if it looks okay in IE because I only have IE 4.0 and it looks busted there. But hopefully it works in later versions.

An Open Letter to Eric Kripke

I couldn't have said it better myself, really. I'm usually one to completely miss these things on my tv shows but for some reason Supernatural makes it super-obvious and it really is my only gripe about the show (I mean, it's on CW but that's not really an excuse).

In other news, I will be listening to this for the rest of the day.
